Pupil tours

The double-decker tour is geared towards school classes in grades five to ten and not only includes a tour of Dresden Airport, but also a reduced-cost visit to Dresden Transport Museum. The two-in-one tour starts at the Transport Museum at 10 a.m. The pupils discover interesting facts about aviation there. The school class then travels to Dresden Airport, where the pupils get to know how air traffic works practically with our guides in an apron bus. The double-decker ticket is valid at a price of EUR 170 for the whole group (max. 30 persons). If required, we can provide catering with a snack bag.

The Knowledge Tour is geared towards school classes in grades six to ten. We explain the physical principles of dynamic and static lift in a way that is suitable for young people and illustrate the theory with practical examples. We mainly focus on the physical concepts of mass, weight and the centre of gravity as well as the history of aviation. The pupils learn about what the airport workers have to bear in mind when preparing an aircraft for departure or the take-off and landing procedure during a bus trip around the apron area. The pupils can then demonstrate what they have learned immediately by completing a questionnaire.

Duration: 2 hours
Price per person: on request

The Knowledge Tour is organised by request. The maximum number of people in the group is 30.

Playport Dresden – Saxony’s most attractive indoor playground

Dresden Airport has a large indoor playground for children known as the Playport. The Playport is open to all passengers and visitors and is located above the P3 airport car park. Children can play and let off steam here at an area measuring more than 2,000 square metres. In addition to table football, children’s bowling alleys and a climbing castle, there is a separate indoor football pitch as well as seven colourfully decorated party rooms and a stage for theatre performances. The lounge next door provides plenty of space for parents and has Internet access, a TV and a range of drinks. We serve food and drinks in the Panorama-Café.
